More snap happiness!

I've made a couple of bandanas for my dog with snaps to fasten. I used by rolled hem foot successfully round the edge, but with a wider hem across the neck edge.
I also thought that the current craze for key fobs could be sidetracked to make dog-tags. However, my machine really doesn't like stitching on vinyl, particularly when adding the second layer. As you can see the underside is quite loopy. Her name and phone number are on the other side and look OK.

I love your thinking. My dog could use a tag. A bib for her food watch moments. I will let it go at that. A ball cap if she would wear it Could put strap and snap. Thanks for the inspiration.

I feel like the tuba player in the band of snaps and fobs! Maybe I'll catch up eventually.

Me too! But be careful...from having kids in bands both high school & college, tuba players are crazy! (love them!) Does that mean we are a little bit crazy?

I don't have snaps and not making fobs. Call me old-fashioned, but at least I'm married to a tuba player!

Just meant they were usually in the rear.

I think these are great. Your dog must be the neighborhood fashion plate now.

These look really good, Sue. What did you change on your machine when you went to do the dog tag, by the way -needle, tension? Maybe using a size 14 or 16 needle if you hadn't already and upping the tension a bit might help. I doubt you're going to give up on this type of thing before you get it working to your satisfaction -or you wouldn't be you!

I think I may try a larger needle if I do any more.

I had this happen on my first key fobs and switched to another vinyl and no more problems. My machine doesn't like all vinyls.
