Just letting you know about Avery. She is able to go her first day of school today. She went to her pediatrician yesterday for a check up to go. She hasn't had any choking and has gained a little weight. She now weighs 39 1/2 pounds, the most she has ever weighed. I forget what mom said height was, but somewhere between, 42-45 inches tall. She has outgrown her braces and also her wheelchair. She has an appointment tomorrow for fittings for both, so she will miss school to go. I had her 2 days this week and she has been fine, back to her usual happy self. Such a relief......
Also, my sister is traveling. She found and bought me 5 yards 25 inches of Baby Dry!!! I am on Cloud Nine!! I have only one made for my house and 2 for theirs. I tell you it saved my queen bed the other day. I have taken down the baby bed after almost 10 years. Now we change her and she lays on my queen guest bed. ..
.I also stole my guest room.-lol- My husband did offer to help me switch the rooms, if I really wanted to, so now its my sewing room. It makes the 'new' guest room really small, but the only time we are in there, is to change a diaper. Sometimes I lay Avery on the bed for awhile,as I know she gets tired in the chair all day. This room I can see from my kitchen and is closer to the living area of the house.
I would show you my 'new' sewing room but I am afraid you would call me a hoarder!-lol- I really haven't been buying any new fabric, just the Baby Dry....husband is always with me!-lol-When a lady from church came to play in my sewing room with me, I had a 6 foot table in my hall (hall is 5 1/2 foot widex19 feet long). I used this table for cutting and it wouldn't fit in my 'old' sewing room. I also had to put my ironing board in the hall.
It all fits in this 'new' room but the cutting table had to go in front of the closet doors, which is okay since its only fabric in there-lol- I know I am terrible and will most likely be the winner........the one who has the most fabrics when she dies!-lol
Have a great day Cuties and may God bless each and every one of you-Toogie
It also sounds like you are pretty well organized--have you seen that funny & true cartoon- I think sewmom first posted it- picture of lady surrounded by fabric and she says"I think I am aout one yard away from being featured on The Hoarders."
And, I don't think you will win, I will. But, for now, I have everything really organized. I have a tiny room with tons in it. I love plastic organizers, doesn't everyone!
Hugs, Toogie, I'm so glad Avery is doing better!
You are right about the emb files and all the pdf,etc not taking up space in the room, thank goodness, or we may all be spilling over-lol- This closet that I have my sewing room in now, is the closet with all the quilt fabric a family gave me- I do use out of it, but can't really see a difference yet-lol
Hugs, Lidia
So happy for your NEW sewing area. We all need to take stock every few years! Moving it all around seems to help "find" what we bought at that Hancock sale last year!!!
I hope Avery gains too, she would look better, even though it means heavier to lift her. Her little knees are so knobby.
Now about that sewing room. I'll send you some pictures you'll see what utter chaos looks like. I tore out a wall. So you may have company when you die. l
