Husband has just come home from fishing ,dumped the fish in the sink & came up to talk me .He went back down to the kitchen only to see Gandalf helping himself to the fish, yelled at him & he ran out the doggy door.Laughing ,I went outside to see Gandalf but he took off.

5 minutes later husband was sharpening the knife to fillet the fish & Gandalf was back inside to get his sushie. This cat has his hearing ,tuned to knives being sharpened ,rarely does he miss out on hearing the noise of the metal. He is addicted to raw fish or other fishy foods.
We know he is such a silent worker & not to leave any food unattended on the kitchen benches because, it is not the first he has helped himself .He has even shared with the dog who is too short to reach the bench

LOL, too cute!!!! Yes, my RINGO used to do the same "TRICK"
He loved his sushie. My sweet furry baby passed May 19th. He was 15 years old and I miss him every day!!

What a great story! It made me laugh and reminded me of missing food in my younger years. It is nice that he shares with the dog.

The dog stands over Gandalf at dinner time wanting his left overs ,washes his plate clean. He chews every mouthful slowly where the dog vacuums hers up in seconds.

What a team you have! I had to laugh reading your story of sushi. I think Gandalf is one smart kitty and so kind to share with the dog.

Made me laugh picturing Gandalf taking off through the dog door. Glad the knife sharpening wasn't aimed at him.

How funny. Gandalf was just "calling dibs" and laying first claim or maybe he was offering to filet the fish.

Don't worry He has brought rats in through the doggy door & let them loose up stairs .We had to take everything out of a large bookcase to catch it.Another one ended up trapped in his litter tray which has a cover & is kept on top of the bookcase during the day because the dog likes playing with the litter
