First Christmas present! Ever since we got married and had a hedgehog and an armadillo on our wedding invitation I have been giving my husband something to do with hedgehogs or armadillos. (I can assure you after 29 years of marriage it is getting very hard to come up with ideas.) This year it will be a covered note book.

These are really wonderful book covers. That's a lovely tradition, and something your husband probably looks forward to receiving each year more than any other gift since it is a symbol of your love. Nicely done.

In Louisiana and Texas, they call armadillo "possum on the half-shell". Maybe you can use the text some time!

How wonderful that you have kept up this tradition. I'll bet there are some stories about this. :)

What a wonderful tradition to have for 29 years! This is cute, and I'll bet there is a great story behind this. I have to say hedgehog and armadillo are not the usual wedding choice!

It is wonderful to have a tradition. My wedding night was at a drag strip watching 2 cars go down a track and see who had the fastest time--romantic huh???? Now we spend weekends going to different car shows but I don't walk anymore--I sit and look at a magazine and let him walk. Beautiful cars but seen one seen em all to me. Does that make me old??? You betcha!

What darling designs! I hope you've kept a photo diary of each year's gifts. Every year for 29 years is quite an accomplishment. I don't know if I could come up with that many projects. Perhaps some of the older things have worn out and new ones could replace them?
