I have been trying to figure out 'just' where to post this. I follow the info on the new Win 10 os somewhat. I know pcworld.com has a lot of information on it if you check in the software section. I received this in my emails today from another site. http://geek.ng/2015/08/still-on-windows-7-this-is-why-you-should-upgrade-to-windows-10.html Read # 7 carefully. I am curious just what the plans are after a year. I like the Win 10 os. It seems a slight bit slower on my computer then Win 7 but there are so many things that make my computer run smoother that the pro's outweigh the cons. Does anyone else have any comments about the Win 10 os?

It is free if you add it to your computer now (up to the time it has been released for one year) and then after that if you add it then (so upgrade a year from now for example) then they would charge you. You do not have to pay for it a year from now -- if you upgrade now.

I like it better then Win 7 for the most part...just wish there was an easier way to download and 'save as' like before. My computer runs smoother. A few quirks, then they have an update and the quirk goes away.

From what I hear Windows 10 is not just a simple update. Read the following and be informed as to what they do or do not offer.

For now I'm happy with Windows 8 and my software shakes hands nicely with it.

Interesting...sounds like they are covering themselfves for whatever they need to do in the future.
That is for the Beta testers. They have to have that kind of information to improve the software prior to release.

I'm still learning to use Windows 10 but so far I like it better than 8 which left me totally confused.
