I finally got to use my fabric from Hawaii & I decided to make over the should bags with the blue fabric. These are great for traveling & so comfy with the softer shoulder since I inserted just a little warm & Natural in this area. Not sure if it needs a velcro closure or do you think they are fine as it?

Beautiful! I put magnetic snaps in the bags that I made. I hate sewing velcro too.

Thanks Theresa I didn't add a closure but do you think I need too?
by toogie 25 Aug 2015
I agree with Queen-If its easy for you to get into, could be easy for someone else...I'd put a magnetic snap, but you'd have to go back, into your opening before you turned it, to do it now.
by pldc 25 Aug 2015
I don't really think someone else could get into this bag easily as it sits on your front & hugs your body sort of. If it was full & wide open then maybe but it is in front on your middle section

Thanks Carolyn, once I got the hang of it it went pretty good. The first one is always the hardest lol & the bottom is not just not a square it is a rectangle so a bit trickier to put in, but I did it & I am pleased with the end result ~hugs~

You have made a wonderful job with the bag, love the bright cheery fabric from Hawaii. I would probably have a magnetic clip on it, just a suggestion. Sandra.

I think this is a nice style bag, to show off your beautiful fabric.... I wouldn't put velcro. I think it would take away from your work. If you don't go back into the bag and put a magnetic snap, I think a skinny tie out of the fabric, placed in the top center, would look better than velcro. Or make a tab, not too big, to either button or snap and top stitch it on. I like security, so I say it needs a closure, but you do what you like. You did ask but it is your beautiful bag.-Toogie

thanks Toogie, I think a snap would be ok I don't have anything inside strong enough to reinforce a magnetic closure. I am hoping to sell them so I appreciate the replies. ~hugs~
by pldc 25 Aug 2015
I am not really sure one snap would make any difference unless I could find a big one?
by pldc 25 Aug 2015
Now I can "see" the button loop thanks so much Toogie a great idea!

Perfect fabric for this project and it turned out super. I too think that one closure would be good. I could visualize a big decorative button. .

I love it Loralye, these are my all time favourite flowers. I have them as my FB cover for most of the year, till now Spring when I have Daffodils. I'd also use a stud with a flap over to hold it securely. Well done they are gorgeous. Love Chris

Chris thank you so very much, the hotel we stayed @ brought fresh one with hairpins to the front desk every day so we could have them to wear for the hotel guests. If we got a little lost it was easy to know who stayed in the same place because of the hairpins lol ~hugs~
