Some of you might remember that I had my Pekingese put down about six weeks ago. I vowed that I would not have another pet. I am in Johannesburg seeing my family and this morning my daughter took me to see a Pekingese at a rescue home. It was love at first sight and I have adopted him. I cannot wait until the end of September when I will have Keenu with me. He is about three years old.

So happy for you....I said the same thing when I had my Shih Tzu put down a couple years ago..Then my nephew's son bought a Shih Tzu for his mother for Christmas and needless to say she was not happy.. He went to 2 other homes after that ... and I was begged to take him Well he is so smart and loving but he wouldn't sleep when he got here I guess he was thinking were am I going next but he was just a puppy then and needed a little training. He'll make you laugh and bring you joy He is a handsome furball

Oh Sarah I'm so happy for you and your new furry friend. I was too afraid to take a new cat after the dead of my little flea and now I'm allergic on cats and dogs. He looks so cute and handsome. What clever kids you have ;o)

We always had Pekingese when we were growing up. I can see you both seem to need one another and he's a Cutie! Good luck with him. Is there a process, why you have to wait until the end of September?

I think your daughter knew that you needed another dog in your life & went looking for it & she managed to find the perfect match.
Loosing a pet is extremely hard but when the time is right another wonderful pet can be found.
