HAPPY FATHER'S DAY TO ALL OUR DEAR DADS.

Unfortunately my darling Dad died on Father's Day 5 years ago, so it was a bit sad today to not have him over for lunch.

Mum and I were sitting in church when I heard a little voice calling out "Hello Nanna" - and in walked Ophelie and Delphi. Steve had the girls since 7.00am yesterday morning as Amy had gone to Sydney for a Doe show. I think he wanted some "me" time. So we looked after them whilst he went back home to make us a dessert for lunch he invited himself along with the girls for lunch. Amy arrived from Sydney about 2.45 and they all left about 3.30. I took Mum home and came back and Dana and her 3 arrived. Whilst they were here Ben arrived with Cohen. Naomi had gone to her parent's place. Just as they were leaving Jason arrived (Dana's hubby) he had been to watch the football. Finally about 6.00 they all left and we had peace!

My cat today is a Daddy cat - once again Happy Father's Day to all in Australia and elsewhere that celebrates it today. Love Chris

Sounds like the door never fully shut from morning until evening! The blessing was all the family coming and going probably helped to not give you or your Mum, too much time to dwell on the loss, prior to the next round of family stopping by. I am sure that your Father looking down from heaven and seeing his dear wife, you and his grand children, and great grand children, he would have likely had big smiles and tears of joy and pride in how well each of you are doing in your lives. Now hopefully you can get a bit of rest and some "me' time yourself, as that was an extremely busy day. I'm so glad you have such a close family and live close enough to enjoy each others company. Hugs, Pam

Oh! Pam what a lovely note. That was so nice of you to think that. I never thought of it that way, of course you are right, as I didn't have time to scratch myself today. Thanks for your uplifting comments. Love Chris

I couldn't help but think what a wonderful day it was for all of you to be able to visit and enjoy each other and to play and cuddle the grandkids. A very happy Father's Day to all of the dads in your family and to dads everywhere.

Thanks Miss Lillian, it was a perfect day here too. Our weather is warming up and today (Monday) it's going to be around 24C - 75F. It's 7.50am as I write this. Off to pick up Mum's dog to go to the vet for a teeth cleaning, extraction etc. Then I have Italian, then off to the Op Shop with Mum from 1-5 - busy day! Love Chris

You have had a very busy day. It is nice to vist with the kids and grands. Our daughter Jennifer and husband Dennis, and their kids surprised us last night by bringing pizza and wings for supper. Don't you just love it when your kids think of you and come to visit. That's what life is about. Happy Father's day to all Aussies. Hugs Lynn

Chris, that is lovely that they all dropped in. (and a lot of work, but what the heck they are the kids!)
My only child living nearby us does volunteer duty every Father's Day, so we don't get to see him on the day.
