I have purchased 2 extra small tee's shirts for our youngest grandson but when I went to take the side stitches out to hoop it I discovered it has NO side seams. Can anyone tell me now how can I embroider a design on it? Do I take the armpit stitches out, no that won't work either I am not sure what to do or where to take out the stitches?

I do them like I do a onsie. Mark the center on the front. Hoop sticky stablizer (I only use Florinai as the others seem to gum up my needle), turn your design so the top is to the left where you've put the hoop on the unit. THEN turn the shirt wrong side out with the neck hole to your left also. If you have design centering, get the center of the design, line up the center marked on the shirt, stick it down to the sticky stablizer. Be sure you keep the extra material...sides, back, sleeves...out of the way! I slow the machine down so I can keep it away & not get my fingers hit! Hope this helps some. If I haven't been clear, ask & I'll try to explain. Good luck! Just be sure the design is going the right way! (done that goof before!)

I had the same idea as Gerry. Glad I check all the answer before adding my 2 cents worth. :-)

Also, consider making a patch and hand applying.

Hi Loralye, I think that you have your answer... I saw the tee that you posted in projects. I've been doing a lot of xtra small down to size 2T, and I do it like Gerry posted. The biggest help for me is to be sure to turn them inside out! I also use binder clips to gather up the extra fabric to help me keep it out of the way. I mostly like to embroider down near the hemline cause the embroidery can be itchy up on the chest..... that's a little easier too. --Sharon
