I made this angel from Sonia's site for a woman who has lost her daughter. The memorial is this week & now that I have finished it I am not sure if I chose the right Angel to make? Her name begins with the letter A & My thinking is this" I know she will never forget her own child but perhaps this will be a gentle reminder that she is an angel in heaven. Do you think I should have chosen a different one to make one that is not exclusive to Christmas? I made the ribbon large enough to hang over the car mirror just in case she wants to put it there. I still have time to make a different one if you think it should be a plain one

Maybe you could make another and keep this one to send her in a card at Christmas time to let her know you are thinking of her and her daughter at that time of year, it's a beautiful angel

I love the Angel and in my honest opinion I would do a plain one but
that's only me. Can you do a plain one with the initial A?

What you have made is beautiful Loralye. I love her series of Angels. I agree with the other ladies, maybe a plainer one or the Angel of Light. That is a nice one. Good luck with it. I love the Alphabet series. Whatever you do your friend will appreciate that you were thinking of at this time. Love Chris

It's a lovely thought, made especially for this daughter and using her initial. She will treasure it.

The angel has become very nice and I think it's great that you have selected the monogram of the first name . I think your friend will appreciate the fact that you made for yourselves so many thoughts .

I also find the Angel of light from Sonjashowater wonderful, with the initial letter of the daughter it becomes a special present and memory, maybe for the bedside-table lamp – who knows . . . a nice idea of you.

I agree with the others a plainer one would be nicer. She will love it. I like how you have made a loop in case she would like to hang it over the car mirror. I had a niece pass away a few weeks ago and I made 8 Angels from My Garden for her 2 daughters, 1 granddaughter and her sisters. I made them as bookmarks. One daughter told me she had hung hers in the car and that was where it was going to stay. They were all thrilled that I had made them a lovely angel as a memento. Hugs Shirley

I would make her a plain one, but give her this one to put on her Christmas tree, so there is something of her daughter with her over the holidays. Its a beautiful design.
Well done and a beautiful gesture...

If you want to do one with the initial on it perhaps you could redo it all in white or ivory with some gold metallic accents for the star and the berries. Then it wouldn't be so Christmassy and you could save this one to send at Christmastime to show that she is still in your thoughts.

Very thoughtful of you. If you are looking to do another, have you tried the Marie Osmond 3-D fsl angel? No initial, but lovely with praying hands.
