Help please. I need suggestions for getting a melted Milk Dud (caramel covered in chocolate) out of my couch. The fabric is micro fiber and is supposed to be cleaned with a damp white towel. I've picked off some of the caramel but the chocolate is in deep. I've thought of warming it up with a hair dryer but I haven't tried it yet.

Is it on the cushion? If so, unzip the cover and put a towel under the spot. You should be able to push the chocolate through onto the under towel using a all purpose cleaner and water.

It's in the crease between the bottom of the backrest and seat. It can't be removed. I'll take a picture tomorrow so everyone can get a good laugh!

Baby wipes get most stains out

you would be surprised what baby wipes remove. I used to do screen printing on shirts for my hubby's cuz' business and it would be some strong chemicals it took to get the ink/paint off stuff...... but we could use baby wipes to clean the screens and our hands and the buckets and they would take it write off..... so try the baby wipes.....

I usually eat them before they can land, so I'm not much help. I'd start by putting ice on it, then using a semi-sharp blade using care not to cut the fabric and scrape as much away as possible. Then, I don't know what removes chocolate.

My husband always runs to Youtube to find out how to do anything. I would try that. And I'm not laughing. What a miserable job to clean up this mess. I hope the dryer works. Please let us know what you find out. If it can happen to you, it can happen to any of us. And Milk Duds is one of my husband's favorites.

You might could use a steamers. Or maybe an iron with paper towels. Good luck!!

I use a pressure steamer for this kind of problem. The pressure forces the gunk out and you catch it on something like paper towels.

try using an ice block placed on it to harden it ,it should then be able to be scrapped off works for chewing gum.

Not being a smarty pants here...but if you haven't cut off the tags under cushions, they should tell you what is to be used for cleaning. It's mostly polyester cloth so it should be either water soluble or anything that will clean polyester. Rubbing Alcohol might work. Sorry about the accident, hope you are able to correct the problem. :)

I have found that shaving cream rubbed in and then dabbed off with a damp rag removes most greasy stains. I have had to do a several applications, but I have removed many stains including oil, grease, tomato sauce and even vomit. Best of luck! Hugs, Barba

According to what i found in my search. First to scrape off excess with dull knife. Then clean with warm water and something like oxiclean. Best of luck.

Well, I don't know....I don't think you really licked off all the chocolate and caramel all l that well. (just kidding!) I wouldn't do heat as that would probably just melt it in more. The ice mentioned below would probably be better. And when all else fails...embroider a nice pill and put that over it.

Funny thing is that you can't see it at all in the crease. My DH told me about it and then I forgot the next day: out of sight, out of mind....

I would take the pic to a local (trusted) dry cleaner and ask them. They have some amazing products they use to remove stains etc. They might have the solution -- literally.

Since you are only cleaning a spot, remember that over time some products lighten fabric. We used to use glycerin to get sticky things out of little girls' long hair...Lots easier than a couch corner!

My children when toddlers decorated a brand new lounge with chocolate and other sweets.
I cleaned it off with a damp clean towel and lots and lots of elbow grease.
For those not in the know - "elbow grease" is just plain old hard hand work.
Worked well.A three seater covered is a lot bigger than a corner. So good luck.
