When we went for a few days to my sons, he tossed this fabric to me and said that I could make a hoodie for my GD in my spare time (I didn't know what spare time as we play with the kids) My old sewing machine is there, so I had a good machine to use, but I didn't have all the little things I would use.

I did make a pattern before we left and made this after I finished the quilt for the great GD,
We went to their place to look after the kids for 3 days and I took everything with me as I still had pockets to make and put on. I had McKennah decide what type of pockets she wanted. She told me what she wanted and then later came and said to do without the flap. She never said anything while I was doing it and Mom came home while I was still putting them on to get the kids and go pick up her dad and give him a ride home. I finished the jacket (hoodie) she put it on and didn't take the time to do it up, but threw her arms around me and thanked me and a big kiss and took off to go to the car!

I checked a week later with mommy as to how McKennah liked the jacket now that she had it for a bit - she loves, loves it!!

That hug and kiss spoke of her heart felt thanks. I'm so glad all your efforts were appreciated. She will always remember you making this for her. Looks nice and warm for the cool fall weather. Pam

I'd say it was worth all of the time and effort to make this wonderful jacket. That hug and kiss is the best payment ever for a job well done.

You got that right! She never once said anything - like
"is it done yet"! And mom was waiting to take the kids with to get her dad {so they would get to see the other grnadpa} and give him a ride home.

It looks beautiful. I'm so glad you got hugs for it. What is more gratifying than a hug and squeeze from little loving arms. Love in making it and love in return!
