My Canada birds are coming your way.So sad** we shut up camp yesterday and i said goodbye to my summer birds sitting out side all i can hear is honk honk as thousands of birds are on the lake taking a rest and some food,as they head South.Please treat them well and i will look forward to next spring***after a long cold winter .Thanks Carolyn

They are always welcome at my little blue dot. (Find a map of Alabama and look for the biggest dot of blue other than ocean.) I think of you when they start arriving - although I'm never certain we're talking about the same set of birds, I think of them as yours when they arrive.

I really love the movie about the girl who decided to lead a heap of geese for their migration with an ultralight type plane -is it 'Fly Away Home'? I can watch it again and again! I first watched it when my kids were small, but don't even need them as an excuse any more :)

One of my highlights was to see over a thousand of your birds flying south for the winter. What a beautiful sight it was. I would be happy to take care of a few of them if they decide to make the pond near us their winter home.

Don't worry about the geese, we take care of a few of them all summer long. Just had 25 here for a visit and they stayed all afternoon. Disturbed my work as I had to run to the windows and find them every so often. lol Every time I see them I think of you. hugs

Lovely pictures. Where is camp? I miss camping these last few years due to having surgery on my knees and gallbladder. Hopefully next year able to go. Happy Times.

Oh we have a large population of Canadian Geese less than a half mile down the road on the Camp Sumatanga lake. Many stay year round there and nest in the spring. I love seeing them with their babies. . They are fed by the camp and all the people that go there year round/Lillian

Carolyn, We are close to Kentucky lake. We hear honk honk till about December depending on the temperatures. If we have an early winter then of course they will go further south.
