I did such a stupid thing while we were away In Cape Town. We were in an antique shop and I was looking at books. I picked up a huge heavy book, which promptly fell out of its dust cover and landed on my foot. As you can see it is rather bruised and swollen but I can walk easily.

That looks sore. Hope you can sit with it elevated for a few days to help it heal. Take care.

My advice: Sit down and do nothing! (Except of embroidery of course because you won't need your feet)
Hope it gets better soon.

Oh my, that looks ugly. I'm glad it looks worse than it is, but I can't imagine that it isn't painful to walk. So did you buy the book after it attacked you? Now you need something to read while you are healing.

Oh Sarah sometimes those things happen so fast that we cannot react quick enough. Just lucky that nothing is broken and you can walk around. A litlle more than one week until you can pick up your dog?
Greetings, Bettina

That's a BIG ouchie! keep it elevated. And if you put banana peels on it while resting, you will get rid of the bruising much faster The peel will turn black. It works really. Being on blood thinners I get lots of bruises. When they are really bad looking I use banana peels.

Careful Sarah, I hope bruising is all you have there. I would try to keep it up as much as possible for a few days/Lillian

Yikes, have you heard of arnica? It will help reduce the swelling and get rid of the black and blue. I am sure you have some natural remedies where you live.

Ow, ow, ow, ow, ow. The good news is that you had a lovely pedicure so that your foot could have it's picture made!

Keep it up when seated to help the old blood leave your foot.
You can't strap a foot to your shoulder like you can a hand to aid in a quick recovery. :-)

OUCH!!!!!! Hope you are able to use it, after your walk with hubby. I always use a sterling silver object (knife, spoon etc) on bruises or even a blood blister and it works for me. The quicker you catch it the better. Please don't start a fad/trend with this...I'm allergic to pain! :)
