NOT EMBROIDERY. But a wonderfull momment i want to share with you all.
At the end of May i drove to Scotland to leave my Husbands ashes on the Buchannan estate and then traveled on towards the Isle of Skye.
I must admit to worrying if i had done the right things but it was too late to now do it differently. I stopped overnight at a small camping site on the banks of Kenloch leven surrounded by hills and just so quiet.
here i now give you what transpired the next morning £15.00 per night so i booked in for two nights.
This was when the magic happened and I still cannot believe what occured at five thirty the next morning.
I had had a good nights sleep and was just starting to wake up when i had the feeling of being watched, Now i allways sleep with my head towards the cab and with the blind partialy up so that i can see if anyone is around. I opened my eyes and saw looking back at me a young stag , We held eye contact for around ten secounds and then he backed away from the window and bowed his head as if acknowledging me and then turned around and began to walk away..
Well I tell you i was out that bed faster than a ferret on extasy with a bolt of lighting up his back side. and out the door and started across the field just to make sure i had not imagined seeing it. A mad old english woman in a tea shirt with no bra and wearing fleecy pj bottoms and no shoes on her feet. I spotted the stag just around the corner and stood still as it turned to look at me. I then noticed that he had a hind with him and he once more he dropped his head as if to say hello and then turned away to go through a gap in the wall and up the hill side where again he stopped and looked around at me.
Tears were running down my face as i could not believe what i had just seen, Here was a very clear message to me from Stan. As Pagans the stag has a history for us and it was then i also recalled that at the head of the Buchannan crest is a stag.
Ok it could have just been by chance that all this happened but to me i had been told that Stan was happy with my choice.
You decide if i am mad or not.
I stayed the next night and had a real good sleep and awoke refreshed and ready for the next stage of my journey.
Your not mad. We all have experiences in life that are not easy to explain or understand. I'm just glad you didn't have a bear on your crest.
One time our little family woke up early in the morning at a camp site and found buffalo meandering around our tent. They were huge and stinky but, we were in awe.
Hugs from Maureen in South Africa
letting me know that she was happy.
