UPDATE.

Keenu has really settled and even asks to go outside. He had a terrible start to settling in as we had torrential rain at the beginning of the evening which resulted in our garage and some of the downstairs being flooded. Wonderful neighbour pitched up with a vacuum/ pump thing which removed most of the water. It will take us a while to get cleaned up as we have gravel inside the garage. I barricaded Keenu upstairs. This morning he has been for a short walk.

My furbaby is at last with me. He arrived in terrible weather and was so scared we could not get him out of his carrier. In the end I had to drag him out buy his paws, expecting to get bitten at any moment. He sat on my knee shaking for the journey home. He has inspected every inch of our home and decided the best place to sleep, not very comfortable I hasten to add was on my thread cabinet. He went sound off so I picked him up and put him in his basket. I was frightened he would fall. It has been a tiring and enjoyable day for all.

So happy for you that your new fur baby is with you now. I'm sure after a few days it will feel like he was never anywhere else. He looks so cute. Traveling is frightening for most animals - even more in bad weather. Give him a cuddle from me :-)
Greetings, Bettina

Don't let him see the pics of Vicki's cats all over the sewing room! Let him think you're in charge! What a sweet looking boy.

What a cute dog Sarah, I sur can understand that he is a bit scared at this moment. A complete new enviroment, new folks, a long drive, so probably he is feeling a bit lost. I'm sure everything will turn out fine.
Enjoy !

What a pretty furbaby! A perfect place to survey his kingdom...after a wee snooze. It's a hard life ruling this kingdom ya know? So glad and happy for you and the little butterscotch fellow.

You must be in heaven having your fur baby home. I am sorry to read that the trip was so hard on him. A strange place for him to choose to settle down. Maybe he felt saver on higher ground.

Oh! Sarah how scary for Keenu, no wonder he was frightened. Even taking Mum's dog to the vet, Sophie shivers and shakes the whole time, in and out of the car and in the vets.

I do love where he has chosen to rule the roost so to speak. I hope you have many years of happiness with him and that he brings you much love and joy in return. Love Chris
