It's time to share Graycie's new hair cut with you all......

she has a thick thick undercoat that mats on her hind legs and belly (from laying around 99% of the day), so when Andi came over to groom, do nails and give Vit B shots to the oldies, we decided we needed to shave her legs & belly to prevent stressing her out each grooming session with trying to get her mats out.....well, she had a huge mat at the end of her tail...
so off it came and I have to tell you I giggle at her when she walks around with her tail up.....her tail looks like the partially deflated end of a balloon....she love parading around showing off her new bikini cut!!
This was an easy pic to take, she loves me to raise her blanket so she can climb underneath in her heated bed.....I was sitting her digitizing and looked over and saw just her "balloon tip" tail hanging out....

It does.......she has a long monkey tail...she if curled up in her bed and only about 1/3 of it is hanging out.....

Yeah, got 4 seniors 19+ yrs old and all of them love the heat, so we have 4 heated beds......sometimes the younguns will try to get on or in them and you guessed it, they don't get to stay very long.....Graycie has been through so much trauma in the past 5 years that what ever she needs, she gets......When an old kitty starts getting that old nast CRF (chronic renal faIlure) the start to lose body heat and one of the reasons I think these girls (and one boy) have made it past 19, is because they are able to keep their body heat up with these beds........
Just my theory......BTW, they are all spoiled...LOL!

I don't think she cares either way......she is so good when she gets shaved.....proabaly because of when we first found her after our burglary, she had to be kept shaved on her whole backend until we got her litter habits back to normal....

Now there is one spoiled pussy cat! I love your description of her new bottom! It always brings to mind when Dana our elder daughter had a mole cut out of her back - when it was all healed up - Trev drew a cat's bum around the edge of the scar, it looked so much like when a cat is walking away from you. Of course it only stayed on for a little while and she washed it off. Thank God for you Vicki and all the wonderful care you give to your rescue kitties. Love Chris
