Now that my machine is home & working so well I had to make another one of these. Sunny flower San Francisco Minute Mat 5x7 . I am thinking of making a wall hanging of some sort with all of these but really like them for the mats too lol

I can see I need to trim a little more on the backside & I can now see that the lower left side is missed I will have to figure out how to fix that? Any suggestions for cutting to close?

Thank you very much. As you can see so far each mat has a different shape so useful for so many other things too. ~hugs~

They all are lovely and great way to use your beautiful fabrics.
If the quilting is done in one step I take the needle down to bring the lower thread to the upside, this way I have not to trimm threads on the backside. If you use the mat on the front side only, some fray check will fix your problem on the left.

fray check thanks I think I have some of that too. I was thinking I would have to satin stitch all over again but this works better. ~hugs~

Be aware that Fray Check will leave a visiable mark that will stand out.

Your floral fabric is beautiful. It makes a wonderful mug mat. You are creating quite a collection of these now. A wall hanging sounds like a great idea. Can't wait to see it, if that's what you end up doing.

the mats are great Loralye, but what sort of stabilizer did you use. I cannot see any that is left, so perhaps you used a wash-away? I always struggle to get the little bits out of the quilting!!
