I was looking at tfk's ITH purses with the cute little side pockets when I remembered this half completed design I was working on just after I got my big hoop. This afternoon I found time to tweak it a bit and test it to see if the engineering worked before I start to add decoration. I quite like the plain version although I wish I'd found the red cord soon enough to make the loops in the top!
The bag is 29cm x 21cm and the denim donor was another pair of old jeans. Some parts were a bit thick by the end so slightly lighter weight fabric is called for, I think.

I love it!!! I changed the bag I was carrying, this one didn't have pockets on the outside and I miss them... This one with the snap would even be better...

Such a lovely variation on the bag theme. I like the shape and the pocket. Where would we be without those old jeans, they are such a good source of sturdy material. But you are right, too many layers can be a bit of a challenge.
