Hi Cuties, I will be leaving shortly but will be back online in a couple hours. I was wondering...what is your most used design, or most well liked design, from Embroidery Library? I was sent a gift certificate from there and may have to spend it-lol- I put this in Chat, so you go ahead and chat about this, and I'll catch up when I return. See you then-Toogie

I have used their Summer Blooms (in 3 sizes) S0685,86 and 87....for wedding presents on personalized linen table runners. I've done the Roses in corals, pinks, yellows and reds. It always comes out beautiful. I have them in all sizes and in the center piece as well as borders and corners. I love the whole set. Great for pillows...bed linen and clothing as well. It's my "go-to" design for presents.
Then again....I just love their ITH Xmas ornaments for quick and easy "little bitties" to add a date & put in a Christmas card.

Are the Xmas ornaments FSL?
No...the ones I've used the most are felt and stitch up quickly. In fact my favorite has been the reindeer...(#E2383) and I stitch the year on top of his antlers in very small numbers. On other designs I've just put the date on the back of the ornament. They're felt so they go in the xmas card and postage is fairly cheap.
I'll take a look at the reindeer too_ thanks again

I love their FSL. Always stitches out nicely and holds it's shape. Great snowflakes.

Jo, I'm scared of FSL. One fell apart, so I don't do that anymore. It wasn't from Emb Library, though.

i like every design that I have used. Currently doing Jack-o-lanterns on kitchen towels but it would eally be cute for your grands.

Which ones are you doing? I think I would like a fall design instead tho, since I could use it longer.
It is the 5 x 7 half of a Jack o lantern to put on the edge of something. I think it was just $! The # I have is Y4165
I'll take a look- thanks

I like all their designs. However lots of them are very dense. I love their FSL designs and I think I have most of them. They stitch out so nicely.

Yes, many are very dense. I tend to steer clear of the really large stitch count designs.
I think they are too and I don't want it to feel like cardboard, when I make something. I do think their FSL would hold up good tho, if they were dense, although I tend to shy away from FSL. I had something fall apart on me and that's too much time and work, so I don't want to try again.

I would wait till tues about 4 oclock and check out new designs when they are $1 or just over a dollar, get the most for your money. Good Luck on spending your gift!

Talk about stretching your dollar, if I can get some then. I'll wait and see.

"Most used" for me are the cupcake silverware/place setting holders for birthdays...one daughter puts them out for each birthday; the pumpkin silverware holders at my other daughter's house for every fall because they go great with her love of fall leaves for decorating. They are easy and cheery and the children can help set the table and even put a paper napkin in, too. The holders decorate the center of the table with candles and flowers sometimes...not good to double as coasters because I made them from felt. Have fun choosing!

I would wait for the new sales if this week isn't anything you think you could use. I agree with the others all their designs sew out so beautifully. Remember you will also get a vip set next month with your next purchase and points toward the Christmas club. Whatever you do don't waste it by rushing in take your time and think about what you know you will use. Also check out the projects page for ideas on how others have used these designs. Have fun shopping.

I agree. Take your time. When you find something you like put it in your wish list. Join the Christmas club! Kay
Those are good ideas, the wish list and projects page. I do belong to the Club. I used one of the designs on a Christmas jacket. Thank goodness I used cut-a-way because it was very dense. I find their deigns have a LOT of stitches.

I have bought so many designs and packs that it is a hard question you asked. I guess it all depends on who you're going to stitch it for and what mood you're in. I think I really like all the Jacobean as I got stuck on all those for a long time. Seems like the flowers, butterflies and those types of designs---Oh but then there are all those gorgeous African animals and pawprints to match-I am so sorry I can't help---I love most of them I see. Last week bought the girl dancers with their tutu's being butterflies.

I must have missed the dancers. I can't always get online lately, so sometimes its over when I check.

I like their older designs the best and I realize you have no way of knowing which are the older ones. Take your time . Sign up for the Christmas club in the menu in the left column on home page. Put sets and designs you like in your wish list and take advantage of the specials each week. Have fun! Kay

I do get the newsletter notices about the specials and have seen some gorgeous designs there...I will keep looking.
Put them in your wishlist first then you can choose what to put into the basket..

Wow, where to begin? They have beautiful Christmas sets. I also love the samplers for giving as gifts. I have used the tweets for gifts, especially the baby one, and the wedding one. Kitchen designs... I have bought their designs for many years & never been disappointed.

Lucky you .Start a wish list if you haven't already got one.If you have been a regular buyer of their designs ,take advantage of the special deals which they send you at the end of the week as well as the weekly specials.Just try to get the most designs for your money .I have never got a design from them that hasn't sewn out perfectly ,so I do not ,waste time doing a test on one of their designs.

I have a very large folder of their designs love all of them. Must say I'm a sucker for Christmas designs and birds and toile designs. You can store about 500 designs in your wishlist, I do this so I can reflect on the designs and make sure they are the ones I really want also great when they have they 50% off sale on wishlists. Definitely keep an eye out for their sales and check sometimes it's cheaper buying them as singles $1ea or so rather as the pack. Have fun deciding. Marian
