Last year for Christmas, my sister hand embroidered this plaque for me. Because I have lived in the Middle East for 54 years, my sister knows how much I miss the

change of seasons and especially the cold weather. Notice the two snow flakes made with glitter, my sister is a smart crafter.....

I know how much she loves tulips so I created and crocheted this filet doily for one of her gifts this year.

Thanks for looking Cuties, enjoy your week!!

The doily is just beautiful Dolly and of course the plaque your sister sent you is just perfect. I don't know how you have put up with the heat where you live. Love Chris

They are both lovely pieces, and very well crafted. You are so very thoughtful in gifts to each other. I'm glad you get the opportunity to visit her in the US every now and then.

Thank you dear, since my husband's passing and I don't have small children any more I now go EVERY holiday time and I love the winters in Tampa, Florida, cold but not messy. he he

Dolly, Your doilies are beautiful and I am always amazed at just how quickly it seems, that you make your projects. I am also another that does not know how you manage living in the heat and dust storms that you have there. I am grateful you are able to visit your family occasionally. I am also glad you have early memories of the snow and cold that you can remember back to. Seeing weather with deep snow can be beautiful, but oh how the shoveling gets old real quick. I know your sister will treasure this doily as you are treasuring the winter scene with her glitter snowflakes. Your closeness to your sister, no matter how many miles apart you are, is the most treasured. It is a beautiful thing to see when families stay close and connected no matter where they each live. Pam

Many thanks Pam. Let's just say that the husband I choose lived in this climate and it didn't matter much to me where I was BUT it's always nice to dream he he

This is a perfect example of familial love that is not deterred by being miles apart. The heart knows nothing of distance.
You have both made perfect gifts for each other, but I'll wager the gift of love is your greatest.
