this is the freebie that was posted a few days ago from Julia's Needle & I knew I was going to stitch it out but wasn't sure what I was putting it on, originally I thought a tea towel but today I decided it would be a lovely center piece for the table & so here it is. I made it for my parents table & will give it to them this weekend when we celebrate our Thanksgiving. I hope they like it. It needs a wash & a press.~hugs & ** ~

Congratulations on such a lovely table centrepiece Loralye. And also have a wonderful Thanksgiving celebration with your family.

I see Canada was the first country to celebrate this wonderful tradition.

Enjoy and I hope your parents love the time and effort that has gone into this. Love Chris

I downloaded this freebie from Julia's Needle Designs as well.... with the same thoughts. It does make a beautiful centerpiece design for your parents' table. I still havent' made up my mind, but am thinking of the center of a bread basket liner for my neighbors. Looks like you used a varigated thread for the GIVING part of the design. That came out nice... adds good color for the biggest part of the design. Nice project Loralye! --Sharon

So now I read the rest of the comments while handing out some flowers for everyone! I see that you commented that it was your variegated thread. I love the way that looks in this design.
by gwillmann 09 Oct 2015
If you put the design in the center, it won't be seen when in use. Think about how the bread will be placed in the liner and position the design where it will be seen. It is such a lovely design.

you're right.... need to give this more thought. I do love this design. Maybe an apron??
by pldc 09 Oct 2015
Sharon thank you & an apron would be lovely too ~hugs~
