I just saw a great tutorial on how to stitch on sleeves over at Urban Threads. Let's try it, what do you think?

I've done jeans this way, but for some reason, sleeves never occurred to me. Duh.

I've done trouser legs this way, leaving the hem if possible, but have yet to try a large design on sleeves. I did small ones the same way I do tiny onesies: turning the garment inside out and struggling to keep everything away from the embroidery area.
