Thank you for your thoughts, prayers and comments regarding my granddaughter's miscarriage. She is doing o.k. but says her husband can't talk about it or he'll cry. So sweet to have a sentimental husband. She accepts that is was 'meant to be'. Toogie she was 3 months and yes, they saw everything--little hands, legs feet, head, body--just a little tiny thing and knew that is a baby--a human going inside. Anyways--just wanted to thank everyone. I love this site!

It is good for a man to be strong, for you to lean on, but it is no shame for him to cry. He has to release his pain too. It seems like your grand daughter is the strong one now, for him to lean on. They balance each other. Still, I'm sure she has her times too, when she needs to cry....Wishing them better days ahead....My husbands niece was married a long time before she finally got pregnant. Well, six months into her first pregnancy, the baby died. The next year she was pregnant again. She had a little boy named Samuel (he is a couple months older than our Avery). The next year came Noah, followed by Joseph the year after. By the time Samuel and our Avery were six, she had 5 kids!-lol-.....

It wouldhelp him so much to talk to another dad who has been through this. Men grieve differently and need help expressing their loss.

So very sad to hear this...some think that only the woman experiences this total grief...but I am here to attest that most men take it just as hard, if not harder...give them both condolences and comfort...it is never easy...they will get through this and it is always in Gods hands...

Tell him crying is good. Talking and crying helps.

My heart goes out to both of them and to you folks. I do hope the dad gets some help. Dads are always part of the picture too even though many forget that and concentrate on the mom.

The only time I ever saw my dad cry was when I miscarried. It was already a heartbreaking situation but to see my dad cry was powerful.

My next child was born two years to the day that I lost my baby.

Prayers for your granddaughter and family.
Hugs,
Lee
