I no longer purchase designs anymore, however Kara is one of my favorite designers.....I saw her Scrappie applique collection and had to have it............this is the owl.......I used a gold and brown striped fabric underneath.......I stitched it on a white sweatshirt so the black lines would show up.......

Nice owl but I don't like the lines going no where. To me it looks like a mistake. But everyone has different tastes. If we all liked the same thing it would be a boring old world.

I totally agree, it is our differences that make us unique....I myself really like the sketchy look........to me it looks more organic with movement...
You could use your software to remove those lines if they are not to your liking

Lovely...I love Kara's designs as well...I love the sketchy subtitles that she sometimes incorporates in her designs...love the stripe fabric underneath..it really adds dimension to the whole piece...
