My strawberries are coming along nicely. I have several plants dotted around. As you can see I am not into painting my pots, I just love the rustic look. Reminds me of Italy

I am so impressed Chris. I like strawberries a lot but cherries and raspberries are my best.

Now, that perks me up! We are getting ready for cold and snow here in mid America! I think You are wise not to paint--I read long (long) ago that painting kept the pots from breathing...just a good soaking and scrub is all you should do to clay pots.

Thank you - I think that perhaps I should give them a good scrub

Beautiful!! Wish I could grow strawberries. I tried a couple of times, but didn't get full fruit before the critters got to them. Growing season is coming to an end here, so will have to wait for next year to try again. Hope you enjoy the fruits of your labor.

They are coming along nicely...here in So. California, strawberries are grown year-round...I love them...but I must admit...raspberries & blackberries are so good too!

I love your rustic look. Gives it character. I hope you really get to eat them. In my neck of the woods the birds are faster then I am. I have a blueberry bush and grapes both are favorites of my feathered friends.

My dog would eat my stawberries, but only the ripe ones. I have to say I really like your pots. They give a cottage like feel to the garden.

Gorgeous! It is getting colder here. Almost time for the garden to freeze.

A lovely picture Sarah and it reminds me that we are well and truly into Autumn. Just been out in the car and the hills are golden and red, it all looks so pretty. Sadly in a few weeks it will be many bare trees. Enjoy your summer

Planted strawberries last year - didn't get more than one or two the whole season. Snails beat us every time.
This year we are harvesting one to two punnets a day and the snails are still eating well.
Strawberries and ice cream for dessert AND I mean lots of strawberries with a little bit of ice cream as they don't keep. For some reason, they do not keep well.
Your plant and fruit look very healthy.
