The 100 boxes for the orphanage in Haiti were packed last night. 50 girls, 50 boys. Here are a few pics I made.

1. Fellowship hall, everything set up for packing line.
2.Everyone had a station to put certain thing in the boxes
3. Still packing
4. Caleb giving his mom some instructions
5. Only 4 boxes left to be closed, taped shut and put in crates. This is Amanda, my G. daughter. She and her hubby are the ones who head all this up. This is where 50 Pillowcase dresses went. Thanks for looking. We all had homemade soups, chili and sandwiches afterward. Of course I was behind camera so no pics of me except what others took.. Thanks for letting me share this with you/Lillian

Well done to all concerned. I once had a group of teenagers making up boxes for the troops in Iraq and Afghanistan over Christmas - it was quite a job!

Great team effort. I delivered all the items I had made over the past year a week ago. The ladies were very pleased with them. 50 pairs of fingerless mittens, 60 felt bears with pencils and 40 Peg Animal note holders with a note pad in each. I have now started next years gifts. Hugs Shirley

Thanks. I don't want to brag but I should have put 150 Pairs of fingerless mittens. I get a lot of pleasure from making small gifts to add to the boxes. Hugs

What a great labour of love. I am sure none of the children will ever forget this. I still vividly remember the packet wie got shortly after WW2. It contained amongst other things the first quilt I ever saw and a beautiful green dress that was exactly my size - quite a luxury after all the recycled stuff my mum made me at the time.

I am so grateful for you and others who are so willing to follow the Saviors words and to help the less fortunate, "As ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me." Matthew 25:40 Hope all will be inspired by your efforts to look and see where we may also seek out and find people who are praying desperately for help. Even small acts of service that would be easy for most people, mean a great deal to those who are unable to do for themselves. So glad you were well enough to help out. Huge Hugs for all you do. Pam
