Embroidery Question so hope this is correct place to post.

I would like to ask for direction/advice to make a satin stitch font to put names on towels...struggling here.
purchases one but some stitching is too narrow to show up in parts of the name...any favourite choices of a particular one you may use often that works a treat..
My lovely daughter volunteered me to do 22 names on sets...Isn't she a wonderful daughter. Seems like Mums can do anything... Wish I could nail this one..
I do have a lot of Cute fonts, but which one?
Love to all, Kerry

Where there is FAITH it can be done! I've never done what you are endeavoring to do, I know your daughter's faith in you isn't misplaced. If you have forgotten all mothers by whatever name are miracle workers... Hope you obtain some help. hugs

I know. I am feeling a little miffed at the moment. When I finish all I will be very happy....I don't do things to sell, usually to give away or for family...so when this came along, I was like Wooooo, Now to do it....have a lovely day Leah.

Hi Kerry, I love the GOLD FONT from on here at Cute Embroidery. Go to the DESIGNS tab, click on the letter A on the left hand side of the page, then over on the right hand side of the page ALPHABETS is listed first. Go down about 8 letters and you will see GOLD FONT click on that wording and it opens up the whole page of the letters. Love Chris

The one I use is from PE Design prog. Font 30. Click on my name and look at some of my projects and you will see the font I use most.

There are literally hundreds of fonts out there - I know because it is my weakness. Try Jolsons. I have just had a look and it seems as if their fonts are .95 cents only at the moment. I am going to have a look through and if I find one or two that I have and have used I will let you know the name.

This is the correct place to ask a question about embroidery. I do hope you will post your embroidered towels in the Projects section so we can admire them. You are a wonderful Mum to do this for your daughter.

Yes I will post when I finish, a couple of the face washers were not the best as I made the name too small. Darn.....
Cannot unpick on a towel with tiny stitches....Luckily I know the person well, and she will forgive me...was thinking I may even go over it in an applique design...see what happens...Love Kerry

I find that the satin fonts that have the best underlay works best for me on towels. Of course, it is hard to know if the font has underlay until after you buy it. Jolsons and Apex fonts do have great underlay, and I love my Embird fonts. (Keep saying to your self: I am woman! I am strong! I can do anything! Your daughter already knows this.)
