This is my 1st attempt at Log Cabin, was only supposed to be a small lap quilt, but got carried away doing the squares

Great quilt. Log cabin is still an all-time favouite and it is such fun to make that one does tend to get carried away. Well done. *4U

Oh Colma, this is wonderful - I love the colors. Great job. I am glad that you made it larger than a lap quilt. *4U

isn't log cabin just fun? its the first block I learnt to make a few months ago and at the moment I have a double bed size log cabin style quilt in process but the thought of quilting such a big one is giving me nightmares! *4u

Beautiful colmag! The log cabin is my favorite pattern. Have you ever seen the "pleated" log cabin? It is really fun to make.

No dkjack have not heard of the pleated log cabin, do you know where there are instructions for this thanks Colma

I bought them about 30 years ago. Will find and scan them for you. I will post a picture in projects. Not sure you will be able to see the pleats but we will see. Made it all out of scrap material and won first in our hometown fair. This was the first quilt I had made also.
