Hi there all,

Seems I haven't posted from so long! Here is something new I tried the other day...ITH coasters!
Its a very simple and easy project! Here I have used upholstery velvet for the black one and lined it with fleece! Tried experimenting with 2 layers of craft foam for the purple one!
They are just the perfect size for cups, mugs or glass!
Did these in the 5x7 hoop :)
Thanks for looking!

well done & the black is quite striking. The foam is water absorbent so also a good choice!~hugs~

A nice modern feel to these. I rarely see foam used and have been curious about using it in projects. Looks like it was no problem for you! Nicely done!

Thank you so much :)
Yes a single layer of foam is a breeze to sew as long as the design isnt too dense! I have used it before too and made a pin cushion....you might find it under my older projects!

WOW! aren't you the clever one. I love the idea of making something wholly in the hoop. You are expanding your horizons! Well done, they look fabulous. Love Chris

Stunning Fatima---is this the craft foam you can buy at Walmart or the expensive brands they sell for embroidery? I bought the cheaper to try out but just never got around to it.

Thank you Patti :)
It is just that regular craft foam we get at any stationery store! No branded stuff available around here anyways...lol!
Go ahead give it a try it sews really well! Just keep your designs simple!
