Ok Cuties..... I'm trying my best to work on a alpha pic learning mat/quilt for my Granddaughter for Christmas... it's been a long try, as some of you might know I had surgery in Oct. and have a cast on my leg from my toe's to my knee.... so I can't set long at the emb. table, because of the swelling, but anyways, just wanted to know what y'all thought about this project. They were a free set from pnw-embroidery and it was a book/block that I have left the outline on the block off.... My daughter said to me one day.... "Mom, they aren't straight!"... leave it to kids..... I said... :"I know, I meant for them to be alittle uneven." so please don't think they should be in a straight line. I was afraid that would be to hard to do. :) I hope you like seeing this, please forgive the wrinkles.... as I have been trying to work on it and not iron the bottom or other places I had already embroidered. Thanks Sandra, I love working on it. It's a lot of fun trying to decide on the colors to use. I really liked the Orange for the ice cream, as we love the creamsicle Ice cream at our house. Thanks for the well wishes. Have a great job.

Mechelle, these are super designs--wonder if still freebie. Your a wonder trying to sit and do this with that cast. Hope your healing nicely and whoever is getting this as a book with have a great keepsake.

I looked for them last week.... I didn't even run across them on the site at all. I didn't have a N design, I had missed it somehow when collecting them, so I had to use the Acorn nut that was a option for the A letter and change the word to Nut instead.... sorry, maybe you could ask them and they could tell you where they are at... maybe I just overlooked them. Thanks for the good wishes. My one and only Grandchild (GD) is getting this learning quilt. Thanks Mechille :)

Thanks, I hope to be able to come up with a little tag.... saying sewn and embroidered by....... I think if I just write it with the fonts on my machine it will be ok. Was thinking of putting it on the back of the quilt. That why it's not on the font. Thanks again. Mechille

What a nice learning quilt. It must be so difficult to sit by the machine with your leg in a cast. I hope the cast comes off soon.

Thank you. It is so hard, because my machine is in my living room and it sets just to the left of my recliner and I want to go embroidery so bad, but I have to keep my leg up every 30 min's or so or it swells.
