Meet Beaky Owl. Made in the hoop. Three hoopings, but still quick to make and a useful result! He comes in a range of sizes and is fully lined with no raw edges. There is a tiny bit of h and sewing. (Sorry queen of hearts!) The corduroy one is the smallest (for 130 x 180 hoop) and the second photograph shows him with my prototype for the 230 x 300 size.

There is a snap fastener hiding behind his beak.

Hope you like him!

I don't mind hand sewing as long as it is inside the bag and not on the outside seam where it is visible. And I do have some designs that have the opening on the outside but now I know how to construct them to alleviate this problem. But I didn't know that the first time I made them.

Ah - this one has slip stitch to join the lining to the flap seam - nice and straight and easy!

Gosh, I may just have to try one of these purses! I love the beak hiding the snap and the corduroy is a fantastic fabric choice for these.
