Sues new purse design. I had actually purchased a nice shiny mauve to stitch it with, but I picked up the flat normal sewing cotton, threaded the machine, and realised after I had started to stitch it out that I was using the wrong one. I was so keen to start this one.

There's nothing "wrong" with using a different thread. You do get different results, but I usually like the different results when I do that.
