Need some Embird help. How do I search with this new. In the old windows 7 Embird all I had to do was hit search then type in a word such as Snowflake and it would bring up every design that had a showflake in the title. Now I ca n't find anything I want. I do not know the names of the files just what it is, Kangeroo, tree, baby giraffe. Now I cannot find anything without looking at every file I have 'till I find it. I also have about 5 different thumb drives to look in and search with nothing but embroidery files. What do I do now. Takes me hours to look for things the old cp bit the dust but all emb. files were dl on thumb drives. Now have new version of Embird and windows 8 and can find nothing quickly except for what has been DL in Embird on this new Cp/ thanks kindly for any help I can get/Lillian

It doesn't help sorry

It may be that your Embird needs to be associated with the embroidery file types. Let me know if you need my help.

Lillian, sorry can't help you with Embrid. I wish I had someone to help me with Bernina art 7. I refuse to believe I am too old to learn a new software. Kay

When I want to search in Win 8 and Win 10 (2 different computers) i make sure to click Computer before I type in search box. This searches the total computer. If I only want to search embroidery designs I add cat*.art or whatever format I save for my machine. This brings up designs with cat in the file name and only the machine format I type after . (such as .exp, .hus, .pes etc). However some sites use a number system rather than a name before the machine format.

PM me and we can go into more detail.

.
The search I described is a window search function not Embird but should give you the same results.

I am so glad Kim was able to help you. Remember you are amazing because you try and most folks over 65 just do not want to learn new things. Keep learning -- it will keep you young!
