Cuties, I must confess I was wrong about hubby fixing my little 270D. Although he freed it up, the stitches for sewing cannot be adjusted (computerized). The embroidery does well on some things and then it doesn't. Not dependable.I wish I had taking a photo of my test stitch outs to show you, before I started this post...maybe I'll add it tomorrow. Anyway, though I hated to retire my little Brother270D, I needed another 'sewing' machine. I was down to just my serger and my 5x7 emb machine. I did have my moms old Singer here, with the drop in cams for zizzag and other utility stitches and the old 'tredle', I needed a new machine. I bought the Brother SE425, for less than I paid for the little 270D, ten years ago. If this one serves me as well as the 270, I'll be a happy sewer. I know I probably ask too much from the little 270, but she was a workhorse, and never let me down until she died. I hope this one is as good. Maybe you think 10 years is not long, but I sew 'something' almost daily, even if it is just repairs (ugh) unless I'm sick. This one doesn't have the Disney designs but I have them on my PE-750D and so far, haven't stitched any. Nora does like Mickey and I wish one was an applique, but I don't think they are. Anyway, this sews and embroiders-wish me luck!
Hugs, Angel
