Hello, Cuties,

I finally feel well enough to let you know how I'm doing. The surgery went well. My stay in the hospital was extended due to a reaction to the anesthesia and/or pain killers and a collapsed lung. I'm still in some pain and very wobbly so stitching has to wait a while. But I'm getting stronger each day.

Thank you for all your thoughts, prayers and kind words. May God bless each of you!
Hugs to all!
Deb

Having just gone through surgery myself I can tell you how important it is to listen to your body and take it easy. You know the saying ''time heals all wounds''.
You will be up and sewing again in no time,
hugs

So glad you are giving us an update. Listen to your body and rest as you need to. Do things in little spurts of activity and rest between, making sure to drink plenty of fluids and take medications as needed so that you are not in too much pain prior to taking the next dose of pain medication. If you can stay on top of the pain meds it is easier, than trying to get severe pain back under control. Listen to the doctors and to your body. Glad you are able to at least come for a visit and hope you are able to keep yourself busy or distracted as needed. ((Hugs)) Pam

So sorry you ran into complications...I recall that mine was to be "1-day surgery" but I, too, had issues from anesthesia and had to spend a night. I pray your recovery leaves you as well as I have been. Still, take care until you're healed.

Welcome back. The worst is over. Do remember to take it easy and recoup. This is not the year to embroider a towel for everyone in Canada, like- ahem - some folks we know here on Cute.
