Any ideas where I can buy a sewing pattern for a 1920's dress? Daughter in law having a themed 40th birthday party, so I want to sew a few costumes for my grand-daughters and myself. I have found many pictures, but no patterns [maybe they are too simple, with just the square look]

Hi Vicki, I just went to Google and typed in 1920 dressmaking patterns, clicked on IMAGES and a whole page came up. 1920 had the Charlston dress and soft flowing gowns. I've just put up one page, but have a look around. Hope you find something, love Chris

thanks Chris, I too have been 'googling' but sometimes the wording makes such a difference. I shall have a look at your link xx

Any low waited dress would do. Just add fringe. Simplicity or Butterick.
