Look at what I made today - took me ages as I had to stand to do it. But the house smells divine as Lynn's cake takes 5 hours to cook. As there is so much cake mixture I needed to mix it in plastic washing basin. This cake will last a year long! I still have a small piece left from last year.
I may even serve some up to my Ladies on Monday for the Christmas lunch - even though there is the Newcastle Pudding Lady Plum Pudding, custard and Pavlova for dessert!
This is the most magnificent Christmas cake full of fruit and nuts. I added some extra Cranberries and lots of dried Apricots yummy! and omitted the glacéd pineapple as there is already a can of crushed pineapple in the recipe.
