Hi Ladies. I need a bit of help. Asked to make an apron for a priest. He is from India in a parish in Smithville, Texas (small town USA), loves to cook and a vegetarian. What type of design/saying should I put on it? Thanks. Nan W

A chef design perhaps... veggies.... pots and pans, or cooking utensils just to name a few... I am sure he will love whatever you do!

One of the cutest-and got the most comments & laughs-was one my son who is a great cook, had that said,
'Last time I cooked hardly anyone got sick.""

I used a design of wheat and cross. It looked nice.

If you can find out what sense of Humour the priest has you could do something like.
"You think your Chilli is HOT wait until you taste my CURRY"
I have worked with a lot of different nationalities and the one thing they all complain about is people being so careful what they say to them. One even said he felt a bit left out as he loved a joke but every one was so serious around him.

Cutest one that comes to mind is from Goodies by Gail that had a turkey and a pig holding up signs "Eat Vegetables". I think he would like that. Kay

Spendlove designed a vegetarian design as an alternative to one of cuts of beef and pork. Maybe its worth contacting her but as its midnight in the Uk and she goes to bed earlier than me she will not be here at the moment

Fun vegetable, pots, pans, cuttlery or a chef, pies. Quite a variety around for free . Sandra,

This is the design asterixsew mentioned below.

How come we make pets out of some animals and pies out of others?

The cow is an applique.

Fruit, veg or cake and 'man shall not live on bread alone' - might be a bit risky/profane.
