Question : Do our machines have a "own wish", do they have a personality, do they misbehave when you are out of side ?... Yes, Yes and yes..
I have read it here several times, and now experienced it myself..
Yesterday I didn't feel going to evening classes and decided to finish my gift for a cutie somewhere in the world.. But it is winter here, and more cold and darker. So I asked my husband if it would be ok if I moved my sewing machine and some stuff into the dinning room. Sweet husband didn't mind....but my machine did !
Even now I do not understand why or what went wrong, but all my efforts failed; somehow the machine wanted to sew out of the sewing area of the hoop ? -how is that even possible- , an other time the design got mixed up so it look like some Chinese stuff.., the other time 2 pieces were sewed partly over each other... at the end - at 11:00 pm I gave up and moved everything back upstairs at the original room.. Now it is sewing... perfectly...
What does that say ?... Don't move me..I do not want to be used in a comfortable warm room, .. I want you close to me..and all the attention alone for myself??..
Don' t we just love our machines ? lol
Two friends of mine dropped their machines - separate times and places of course.
One was going to class, so tried to use her machine straight away - it didn't like it. But when she took it for repairs all was okay.
The other friend dropped hers at home and didn't have the heart to do any sewing or embroidery after that fright so left it for a couple of days. She had no problems.
Kind Serviceman told all of us that dropped or jolted machines need a bit of time to rests and reset.
Sometimes we jolt them when we take them in the car or move them to a different location within the house. That may be all your problem was.
