Hello Cuties,
I just wanted you to know, although we are past the Thanksgiving Holiday, we cannot stop being thankful and always need to remember to count our blessings.
As in the case, of my oldest daughter that some of you know about already. I am thankful she did not break her neck Sunday afternoon, when she fell on the concrete, when the extension ladder she was on, putting up Christmas decorations collapsed on top of her. I am also thankful that her DH got home safely, after a 18 hour driving round trip to work and after only working one hour. I am counting blessing, for no car accident. I am counting our blessings, that the broken shoulder and foot she has, is not life threatening. She is getting along slowly because of the fall, breaks and bruising but next week will tell, if the bones are mending, or will need surgery. I am trusting God's will be done. I am hoping, for His complete healing for her.
Now in the second case with my youngest daughter. As some of you may already be aware, she is expecting a baby boy, the end of March. I am thankful, (the very next day after the ladder incident with her sister,) having contractions was not from too early labor. (her twins were 3 months too early) Blood work determined it was brought on by a bacterial infection. Counting blessings that medical science can determine and treat problems. Trusting God's will be, for baby to continue to grow strong in mom, for 3 more months.
Thirdly, I have been sick for eleven days with what started as a cold. First two days are normal fever/chills/ then started feeling a little better for few days. By this Sunday, I felt too bad to go to church but when #1 daughter fell, we were called to bring her to hospital.(didn't know if we could get her in car but thankfully made it) Stayed with her, brought her home, then next day stayed with #2 daughters' kids till she came back. All the days not missing work. By 9th day, I felt like I had pneumonia again.
Couldn't see dr till the 11th day, today... I am thankful to have bronchitis.-lol- Am I normal?...I heard some of your answers-lol-I am counting my blessings that it wasn't another hospital stay (and outrageous billing)...Dr gave shot/meds & said I need to take off work & just rest...now I ask, is he normal? Define rest for a mom that's still alive?-lol
I am thankful that the rest of family are doing well, even our Avery! I am counting blessings, that the men in our lives have stepped up to the plate. Marsha's even has to help bathe her...
(I remember when my friend had anurosym (mispelled I know). Her grown daughter told dad to, 'get over it' and tend to mom!'... It's been a few years now, but today I got a text from that friend. Well, actually it wasn't a text, it was just one photo. It was an embroidery design she stitched for the first time in about 3 years. You wanna know what it was?.... "For Unto Us A Child Is Born" with the nativity. ..Brought tears to my eyes! ...Also brought a truly thankful heart for a loving God, that showed mercy, and not only spared her for a little more time with us, but has made her whole again, to once again enjoy her hobby.
As we walk, fall or just slip, we need always remember He is there to go through, with us. Carry us, if need be, but get us through. As we remember this holiday Christmas, let us not forget Him, Christ IS the reason.
Well Cuties, I took my meds, like a good girl. I've rambled enough, but gonna take a breathing treatment and go to bed, if not too jittery afterward-lol-see I'm trying to get my sense of humor & old self back. I know its still there somewhere-lol-. 'Tomorrow' is another work day!
Wishing everyone Peace and Goodwill-Toogie
ps forgot to say, had fluid behind ear that caused the dizzys this time. That's better. Thought I may have had flu, I was so drunk/nauseated.
Merry Christmas, Jerrilyn
