Sorry everyone I lost my Christmas Tree. Hope goes through now. I'm not very savvy when it comes to computer stuff.

1. Front of Christmas Tree.
2. Back of Christmas Tree.

When I was making my Christmas Tree, I was humming to "Oh Christmas Tree". I thought that it would be nice if I shared the Song and a little History with all of you on Cutes.

O Christmas Tree
from the MMF! Songbook

History

O Christmas Tree, or O Tannenbaum, in its original German version, refers to a fir tree.
The carol's best known text was penned by a German organist and teacher,
Ernst Anschutz in 1824, and was set to an old folk tune.
Fun Facts
An instrumental version of O Tannenbaum was recorded by Vince Guaraldi for the
Peanuts television special A Charlie Brown Christmas. The Peanuts special first aired in 1965,
and continues to be a Christmastime favourite.

Lyrics

O Christmas Tree O, Christmas Tree,
Your branches green delight us.
O Christmas Tree, O Christmas Tree,
Your branches green delight us.
They're green when summer days are bright;
They're green when winter snow is white.
O, Christmas Tree, O, Christmas Tree,
Your branches green delight us!
O Christmas Tree, O Christmas Tree,
You give us so much pleasure!
O Christmas Tree, O Christmas Tree,
You give us so much pleasure!
How oft at Christmas tide the sight,
O green fir tree, gives us delight!
O Christmas Tree, O Christmas Tree,
You give us so much pleasure!
O Christmas Tree, O Christmas Tree,
Your branches green delight us.
O Christmas Tree, O Christmas Tree,
Your branches green delight us.
They're green when summer days are bright;
They're green when winter snow is white.
O Christmas Tree, O Christmas Tree,
Your branches green delight us!
Enjoy Everyone.

So cute. I wonder if a battery operated tealight would light it up. Love all the little decorations.

Hi crafter2243, Thankyou for your great idea. I did try both tea lights and string lights inside, the tea light was not strong enough and the string lights would have had to be put through a hole in the felt to be able to be seen.

I did not realize it was made from felt. I thought it was card stock.

Hi crafter2243, That would have worked, I will have to try that one, maybe next years project. lol

Wow, Lorraine that looks amazing. So glad you found where your picture went. Sometimes if the size is too big it just won't load and then you've got to reduce the size. You are so clever with all your crafting. Love Chris

Hi Chris, Thankyou so much Chris. I just loved spendloves little tree, that I said that I would post one for her to see.
It took awhile to do, but I did it.
I too have not been at all well either, hope that you are feeling a little better.

Hi spendlove, Thankyou for the inspiration to finally get the Tree finished. The Tree stands (11 1//2" High), I used a firm piece of felt for it. I also painted on some clear glitter paint before I glued on the buttons and another coat of glitter paint after I glued on the buttons, coving the buttons with the glitter paint as well.
