I just couldn't find a t shirt that was blank , so I searched and found this free pattern. This was my test but it was working so well I decided to add a little applique. It's size 9 months, made using scraps. So I guess I will be making a few more.
I got to use all my machine, I just purchased a cover stitch machine and I think it's my new favorite toy, it does the 2 lines of stitching and finishes the edge , at the same time here you can see the under stitching in the neck. Thanks for looking

Very nice. Way cute applique!! I too have trouble finding blank shirts. The ones in the store already have stuff printed or are so thin you can read through them.

BTW, Walmart always has blank tees both in the clothing section and the craft section. So does Hobby Lobby, JoAnns and Michaels in the craft section. But I have had to make my own in the past when I needed long sleeves in the summer or vise versa.

It is a very pretty T-Shirt. Isn't it fun to use all your machines? Embroidering, sewing, serging the seams and then overlocking the hems (that gives such professional looking hems). Only problem with it is you either need half a dozen cones of serger thread, or you have to rethread your machines. And a l o n g table to put those machines in a nice row comes in handy :).

Very cute little monkey. Don't you just love the cover hem stitch? I just learned that cover stitch machines are being made.

Oh yes, great job on making the shirt. :)

your hand-made shirt will outlast anything you can buy from the 'cheap' shops. I have shirts and sweaters 10 years old! yep, only for at home now, but still no holes and seams still in good condition.

Hi baydreamer, Such a lovely little Windcheater (sweatshirt). I too love the result of both a hand made garment over a bought one, and also the result that a Coverstitch machine can do.
Thankyou for sharing both your creation and the web site.
Merry Christmas
