Well, what a day yesterday was Cuties. All the family except for Ben, Naomi and their 3 boys came over here for Christmas dinner - as everyone will be going away for Christmas.

To say it was noisy is an understatement!!! We even had the dog here (Maisie, who belongs to Amy and Steve). Most of the family arrived at 4.30pm and we drank Champers and Punch etc. till Steve arrived around 6.20 (he works in the Housing Industry and is at Display homes over the weekend). So Trev went outside and bbq some sausages and chicken so that the kids could eat. Being kids all they wanted were bread rolls and sausages - not big eaters anyway.

When Steve arrived Trev cooked the rest of the Chicken for us and I'd made a Potato bake, Dana and Jason bought one of those Wombok salads (made with crunchy noodles and cabbage etc.) I can't eat it as there is soy in it. Amy and I made a beautiful garden salad and we had Prawns too. When it came time for dessert we decided no-one wanted Pudding, so we had Amy's Pavlova - which was delicious.

I had set the table a bit differently but the kids loved it. We opened the gifts and paper everywhere and they didn't leave till 10.00pm. Trev and I looked at each other and just laughed and thought wow, great to see them all, but it's so nice to have the house back to ourselves albeit messy. So we cleaned everything up as much as possible and today Trev is going to pack up the back room and put the tables etc. back to normal. I was very sore by this time as I hadn't been able to sit much and when I did that muscle kept grabbing me. So in an hour's time I'm off to the Physio - it still looks like I won't be going to Canberra though as I can't sit for longer than 15 minutes without having to get up. Mum and I will spend Christmas day with Dana and her family.

Here are some piccies of the mess! Merry Christmas to you all and I hope your day goes well and isn't as hot as ours was!!! Love and blessings Chris

1. All the girls in their Reindeer Dresses
2. Ryke in front with his sisters and cousins
3. Dana holding up our gift to the family.
4. Steve sitting (still in shirt and suit trousers) with Amy and Ophelie holding up her Mermaid foot flipper!
5. Mum watching over it all!
6. Jasana in her new beach shirt (fluoro orange!!!)
7. Simple Christmas table for Family dinner.
8. Dana with niece Delphi.
9. Me in the kitchen with the kids in front in their new dresses. I had taken my jacket off and as it is Advent I was in Purple. It was over 30C yesterday!!!!!!!

I hope it will disappear permanently too Kim. It was fun yesterday, just tiring and the kids have so much ENERGY!!!!! This morning at the Physio I had some - deep intense muscle massage/pressure and about 6 needles (acupuncture ones). It's SLOWLY getting better, but I still can't sit for longer than 15 mins - so the drive over and back aggravated it again. Oh! well, I'm cleaning up the back room's Christmas decorations and putting them away. The front room with the tree and all the other stuff will stay up till January 6th. Love Chris

Hi Kerry, yes that Wombok salad is Mr Changs - PAVLOVA always goes down well, but poor Aqualina is highly allergic to eggs and can't eat anything with eggs, yolks and whites. So Trev bought the kids all Mini Magnum Ice creams! You should have seen Delphi's face!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm keeping busy by doing anything that needs cleaning, or rearranging. I can't lift heavy objects so dear Trev has done all that for me. We decided to have a real clean out over the Christmas holidays! I hope you and your family have a wonderful Christmas, love Chris

Thanks Chris and yes, kids have a habit of doing that don't they? Actually it's a bit misleading when you see Aqualina and Ophelie together - Ophelie is actually taller than Aqualina and Aqualina is older by 8 weeks! Must just be the way they are standing. The girls absolutely loved their dresses. Love Chris

Thanks Kay, it was a fun day and I got the most emotional card from Amy - brought me to tears. We've had a bad year with Steve being out of work and Amy only get paid occasionally by her boss - as she is a Contractor he is not obliged to pay her weekly/fortnightly etc. So Steve now has a job and loves it in the housing industry and Amy is still awaiting the rest of her payment, but has another couple of people she does book-keeping for and in the new year she has landed a 2 day a week job which could lead to 3 and that is all she wants being a young mum too. I'm getting better but slowly. I really feel for all the other Cuties who are permanently in pain. Love Chris

Thanks Carolyn, I only wish the others would come. Maybe one day we can all be together again. Hope you and John have a wonderful Christmas and that you are not too snowed in! We are having a stinker over here at the moment of me writing this - but tomorrow is promising rain - which I LOVE! Love Chris

Merry Christmas my dear Jerrilyn. You should have seen the girls when they walked into the house as the front table in my lounge-room had the dresses hanging up and their eyes nearly popped out of their heads. Jasana had on the dress I made last year I think - it was the Disco dress by Jen Kennedy (Ainslee Fox Sewing Den here in Australia) and she had grown so tall. Aqualina had on the little dress I made 2 years ago and it was so short too! We had a wonderful day. I hope yours is filled with love, fun and laughter too. Love Chris

Thanks for sharing your wonderful family pictures. The girls look real cute in their matching dresses. Your table setting was beautiful as always. Sorry it is so hot, but all in all it looks like everyone enjoyed the day. Happy Holidays to you and Trevor and all your family.Hope you can rest now and ease the pain you are having. Take care, Love and Hugs Lynn

Thanks Lynn, I thought they looked cute too. The table setting was taken before everything had been put on. Dana was a bit quick. We had all the candles lit (battery operated ones only). The tall ones in the Golden Santas and Christmas tree are for decoration. The side plates hadn't been put on and there was more Santas and other decorations that hadn't been placed. It was still fun. Yes, it was hot, but I had both air conditioners going where it got to the stage Mum had to ask to have it turned off. So I had a fan put at the top of the table where I sat! Well, it's going to be a quiet one for me as I'm not going to Canberra tomorrow with Trev for Christmas with his family, as I cant sit in the car for 5 and a half hours driving. Still I'll be with Mum and Dana has asked us to come over to their place on Friday. I can only drive for about 15 minutes and have to get out and walk, talk about frustrating. BUT - I will rest over this week and lie down a lot as that is the best thing so far. I am standing doing all the typing as I can't sit as it just keeps pulling that muscle again. I'm doing exercises that the Physio has given me - not working, but I'm listening to my body! Merry Christmas to you and yours. Love Chris

Oh what a joy to have them all with you. The girls in their dresses all together look fantastic. As my little 7 yr old GG son said in his Christmas Essay " Christmas is family and Jesus's Birthday". You are so very blessed Chris savor every moment./Lillian

How beautiful Miss Lillian. Ophelie loves coming to church with me - the only one out of them all. I was reading from my old King James Bible the other day and she wanted to know what I was looking at. I was trying to explain the difference between day and night. And so told her that "In the beginning God created heaven and earth" etc. and we got as far down as day 5 and she ran off to do something. When she came here last Friday she saw the book and said "Nanna can you read me some more stories from your book?" I told her anytime she liked. Missed Dad so much on Sunday as he would have loved to have been there with them all now that they are all 5 years older. Yes, I just wish they could all have been here. God bless you and Ron and I hope you and your family have a blessed Christmas and may 2016 bring good health. Love Chris

Chris, I love seeing all the love and happiness in your family's faces. Everything looks wonderful, from the girls dresses ( looks odd to me, cause it's cold here-lol), to the 'simple' as you say Christmas table. I like to take a photo of us at the table but sometimes, don't always remember.
Is it your son and his family not here?
Your bbq for Christmas sounds like our July 4 th in states. I guess bbq is good anytime it's warm enough to cook outside.
What is that shining, behind the fan, in photo 4 ? I can only get online, at this time with my phone, so it's hard for me to see.
I know Trevor must have taken the photos, as there are none of him. I used to be the ' photographer ' for our family, and looking back over the years there are rarely any of me. At the time I didn't mind, but now I wish there were more....I sure looked better back then!- lol
Chris I'm so sorry you cannot make the trip for Christmas, like you usually do. I am happy to hear they have found your problem ( torn muscle, isn't it?) and you can get some relief. I will be really happy for you when you are pain-free again and really able to enjoy all the activities, you so enjoy.
Wishing you and Trevor a blessed holiday, wherever you all are and a better new year for all!
In Chistian love, Toogie

Hi Toogie, I hope you are feeling better too. I'll get there eventually, just have to learn to be patient and listen to my body. I tend to be an impatient patient when I'm like this he he he! Normally I'm the most patient person in the world, or so my family and friends tell me. No Trevor didn't take these as these were taken by Dana's mobile phone and my camera. I got one of Trev I think on Mum's camera, but I don't have that with me. Yes, I'm sorry I can't go down to visit Trev's Mum, Brother, sister in law and the rest of the cousins etc. We will speak on Friday. I'm also sorry that we can't take Mum down with us as we were originally going to stay with my sister at her country home in Holbrook where they use their huge shed to hangar Ultra lites for locals. Julie will hopefully come up here, but it's a 9 hour drive!!!! Australia is just so wide! Yes, the problem is a torn muscle. Just rest and exercises from the Physio. I've been taking Nurofen, but can't take that long term either. I think I'll meditate and rest whilst Trev is away. Wishing you too a blessed Christmas and festive season and I hope the family make a big fuss of you. Take care dear Toogie and enjoy the pampering. Love Chris

Oh! sorry if you are referring to the hat stand behind the fan that is a Christmas wreath that is shining. If it's not you might be looking at the China cabinet in our kitchen which we totally cleared out and restocked last week. An yes, it was my son and his family not there. Love Chris
by toogie 21 Dec 2015
Lol-I told u I can't c good on this phone. I can see now it's a wreath. Now don't think me crazy. It looked like a snowman with a woman's hat on crooked! I know you miss Ben & family....
