I heard a man on 2NURFM (local Newcastle University FM radio station) asking how long his Mum should cook this for their Christmas lunch. The lady who was the guest cook suggested 40mins per 500gms (35-40 mins for a pound). So if you had a good size it could take hours and hours!!!! I hope you enjoy Marianne. Love Chris
Oh boy i never heard that word before i will go google it lol hugs
Thanks Chris. Here is the one I bought from Aldi, Carolyn https://www.aldi.com.au/en/special-buys/christmas/food-and-drink/mains/mains-detail/ps/p/specially-selected-frozen-turducken-roast-with-cra/

Turkey is available in abundance here on the west coast of the US also, we even have had sales close to Thanksgiving, if you purchased over $50 in groceries you were able to get a turkey for 59 cents/lb and that is generally when we go ahead and purchase what we will need for Christmas as the sale prices are not as good during Christmas as it is during the Thanksgiving time. Sure wish the normal prices were under $1/lb normally. Hope you are able to find what you are needing.

Carolyn, you sure jog some happy memories.
Many years back when we where in Upstate New York (USA), because of my husband job, we were overwhelmed
by the concern of our neighbours on Thanksgiving day when I admitted not to have turkey for lunch as
per tradition. Every single one knocked at our door with a full plate of roasted turkey!
We did have turkey for lunch, for dinner and for breakfast for days to came!
We still have oven roasted turkey with all the trimmings on Christmas day with 40 plus centigrade degrees
(108 Fahrenheit). In Melbourne (Australia) almost every supermarket has specials on turkey!
Very merry Christmas to you, Roberta

Our shops have loads of turkeys here in South Africa. For the first time in over 40 years I will not be cooking a traditional Christmas meal. As a family we are going out. I am just thrilled. We are having a heatwave at the moment and the thought of cooking a huge meal makes me feel quite ill
