Dear DeVon, my prayers are with you all at this sad time. It's already midday Christmas Eve here in Newcastle. I am upholding your father-in-law Frank and asking that he suffer no more. Having spent years in nursing, and working in both hospitals and nursing homes, we learned that hearing is the last thing that will shut down, before a person passes from this life. So please remember that your loved one will hear you. Hold his hand, tell him favorite stories and say everything that needs to be said, try to help him be at peace, that the family remaining, will take care of the things he has left behind. We would often see the patients vital signs improve and a person be less agitated as they had their loved ones around them. Helping a person be at peace at this difficult time, is the kindest gift you can help give him. Prayers for all, (((Hugs))) Pam

Very wonderful picture and memory. This is so very sad. Prayers will be said for everyone involved. I lost my dad on Dec 30. There isn't a day goes by that something doesn't remind me of him. I was so blessed to have him and I hope your husband will eventually feel the same way. Bless all of you especially Mr. Frank as he starts his new journey.

Well it is 4:46 am. December 24th Frank is still holding on. Lungs are filling up with fuild. Heart beat is getting slower, breathing is very slow. Hurts me to see my husband hurt. Please keep the family in your prayers. Thank each for all the nice things you have said. Still going on very little sleep. Love you all!!
