Oh how sad and devastating! Will certainly add them to the ever growing pray list. The weather is sure strange and weird this year.

Yes, we've been getting news about it. The weather this Christmas has been horrendous everywhere in the world. Prayers for all those affected by their homes being flooded and the mud residue. Takes days to clean up. Meanwhile Victoria down on the Great Ocean Road has been having dreadful bushfires and over a hundred homes have been lost forever. Sue, thanks so much for letting us know. I had no idea that flooding was happening in England. I will certainly add my prayers for the people in northern England.

I have watched the news and seen the pictures. It's shocking seeing vehicles floating through streets in York and rescuers up to their hips in water. The areal photography shows the extent of the flooding, quite disturbing! And when it stops the mud and stench remain, it must be horrendous to come back to a house where all ground floor furnishings and appliances are totally ruined. I hope the weathermen are wrong and the rains will not return on Wednesday.

Terrible...just terrible...it seems that Mother Nature is not happy in many areas around the world...weather patterns continue to reek havoc in so many places...drought, tornadoes, torrential rain, earthquakes..and the list goes on...we all need to wake up and take notice at what is happening all around the world and do everything we can to correct it.

It just brakes my heart to see all that is happening with the weather and I feel so helpless. Nothing one can do but pray. My thoughts are with all that have to endure.

Saw it on the television looks horrendous the worst will be ahead of them in the clean up. The cellars will be full of mud and water. Seems everywhere is getting bad weather one way or another. Australia with 116 house burnt to the ground from bush fires and up north in Australia floods as well.

if we all continue to pray we can make miracles happen. Ours is not to reason why but to pray for all concerned. We may never know just what our prayers achieve small miracles or big ones but I believe that they make a difference. Prayers for all who suffer these violent storms & more ~hugs~

Saw some of the English news yesterday. I cannot imagine what they are going through. Many years ago while we were having Christmas in Johannesburg, we received a hysterical call from our neighbor telling us that the storm water drain outside our house could not contain the torrential rain water and it flooded our ground floor of the house. It took weeks to clean up - not to mention new carpets, cupboards, skirting boards, curtains and that was just a one off rain storm.
My heart goes out to the flood victims in the U.K.

praying for them that the weather gets better soon.

Just to have (clean) water enter your home is bad enough but in these kinds of floods it's what's in the water that the occupants of these flooded homes and businesses have to cope with that make the situation so awful and some of these people have been flooded out twice in as many weeks!
