Guess I've been pretty lucky!

A; couple days ago I knocked over my cup of pop and it went on the computer (dongle and all).
Hubby took the laptop and vaccuued it and when he brought it back to the sewing room, I set it up on it's side and more ran out - which seemed to be all of it as no more came out.

I left it for over 24 hours and started trying out different things and was so glad I didn't lose all mu emb. files! I had been going to run another back up again (as haven't done it for a while), but didn't get it done!

Everything seems to be just like it was! Whew!!

You were very lucky. Now, back up your files just in case. :)

The lesson learned. Never have any liquid you are drinking near enough to your computer to spill on it. Glad no damage was done. I never eat or drink when I'm on computer or tablet. I've seen this happen time after time with my kids through the years and so many of their electronic devices ruined/Lillian

I have to have something on go to sip or my throat gets so dry I start coughing like crazy. It is usually in a better spot - but as you know,we just have to have that one time!?

No they don't. My brother had to have his replaced as the keys were so sticky - I couldn't believe how my were OK. Must have been the fast action of myself and my hubby as he came to see what happened when he heard me and I got him to takie the laptop out to the vacuum and I cleaned the mess up in here.

What a way to end the old year. I'm glad all is well. I hope you got a back up system for Christmas. it sounds like a great time to get the back up done.

Lucky you so far. I had to laugh, when you said pop! That's what we call it where I'm from.
