On Boxing Day I bought a set of 3 cotton tea towels 50cm x70cm from Aldi.Washed them today in cold water & dried them on the clothes line.One shrunk 5 cm (waffle fabric)in one direction,the others did to,but not as badly because they were a tighter weave fabric.They are going back next week,luckily I still have docket & tags.
Just shows that you need to wash everything before you embroider it,otherwise all the time & effort put into your project can be wasted.

Take photo's and send to Aldi. Their customer service is really good and they will contact you fairly quickly.
I bought an iron from them and over 2 years later it needed a new filter for the water tank. So I sent them an Email as the iron still worked but the light was flashing all the time. They rang me within a couple of days to ask a few more questions and said they would get back to me. I thought that would be the end of it but 10 minutes later they had the number and details of where to get the filter and even transferred the call direct to the supplier for me. Thus paying for the call.

We have no trouble in getting a refund from Aldi before.Earlier in the year I bought a pair of lge tea towels from them & they shrunk too but only a cm or so in each direction but the the waffle one is more like a cleaning rag

It is a real shame when this happens especially when you want that size.

Finding lge tea towels made from decent fabric is now becoming harder & harder.

I have a waffle blanket that looks like it should be square as it is on grain, however it is not square. I think all I can do is hem the edges and put a design on it anyways.

This is going back for a refund.Wonder what would of happened if I used hot water & it went through the drier?
