Sigh! I got good news and bad news at the doctor's today. It's been 5 1/2 weeks since I badly sprained my left ankle. Today I was told I needed an MRI to see if there is a tendon that got damaged too. But the good news is that the ligaments are healing. I am still wearing a boot that goes from my toes to my knee, so I am still in limbo and moving slowly. But I am grateful to be on my feet even if it is for short periods of time. My husband keeps calling me a princess which makes me laugh. The nurse today made me laugh because she said since I can't run ( or walk) very fast. at least it is easy for my husband to catch me. Laughter makes it all bearable, I think.

It does absolutely. Hope the MRI says it is fixable!

They can tell a lot from the mri. Did you ever tell how you sprained it in the first place? If so I missed it and am just curious. Take care

Karen, my pastor just left and in his prayer he said, he was thankful I could still laugh. ...so sorry that healing seems to be s-l-o-w for you too.It may mean longer in your boot?.... My daughter goes tomorrow for her check up- Her foot is an air boot/cast is that what yours is? I hope her shoulder is healing, but I'm afraid she has been moving/doing too much. She still wears the arm sling, but like our Carolyn/noah, she tends to still do more than she should...Take care and maybe the nurse hasn't thought...you may want hubby to catch you!!!-lol

Good luck Karen with the MRI - let me know when you are having it and I will pray for you. I had quite a lot of you praying for me when I had mine and I FELL ASLEEP IN THE MACHINE! I hope you heal as soon as possible, there's nothing worse than being incapacitated. Laughter is good isn't, if we didn't, I think we'd cry! Love Chris

Be healed! Sounds like some progress, even if slow. Hope your wallet holds up to the medical attacks! Will you do any physical therapy?
